DMX: A Product Of His Enviorment

Okay .. I have to keep it real right now. Yes this man has a drug and alcohol addiction. Yes his career is being  messed up because of it, but we have to look at some facts about DMX! First of all the man was raised by an abusive mama. Ya'll know the type. "Life has handed me a handful of crap, this man has left me with all these bills and these kids and so I am going to take it out on yo little butt, cause your the reason I'm in this mess! Or so I think." ( No disrespect intended.) And just to clear up the record he did not choose to start smoking crack! A so called "friend" laced the blunt when he was 14 with the drug. How  can you expect a fourteen year old poverty stricken black boy to resist the power of crack cocaine. And if he didn't have the proper guidance,  how can you expect him to become an adult who is able to resist this temptation. It's impossible. This man basically had to raise himself. When he was hungry he had to steal, when he was cold he had to take, and etc... Most often when circumstances are like this people do dumb s**t to help alleviate the pain.  ( this doesn't make it right, but it makes it truth!) This is a lonely and disturbed man, who is constantly fighting with "inner demons"! And then we have to stop and ask ourselves: Why is this man constantly being locked up for hurting himself? I mean come on we should be happy he ain't robbing and killing people no more! We have to question what's really going on! This man is stuck in a state that is proably milking his situation for all it's worth. He's rich.! He can't leave the state cause of his probation. So he's stuck.  You know he asked to go to Celebrity Rehab but the state of Arizona turned him down? Why? How come he can get permission to go do a show when the possibility of him messing up is about 99% but he can't go and get much needed help, and kick the habit. It's so funny we all like to sit and say that racisism is dead. No it's alive and well. This is a prime example of a black man being held down by a corupt and unjust system. Rather we want to believe it or not. What do you think?
